La-La- French Revolution!!!

For your reflection, how can we integrate this video in an ESL Content-based  class?

  1. Music has always been a magic tool to get students interested. French Revolution is a very important topic to work with, and students' previous knowledge makes it easier. Combining history with this kind of video seems really interesting as well as funny. Perhaps, students may write their opinions and conclusions on a blog, analyzing the effects and consequences of this revolution. Or maybe a review. Well, I think we'll share ideas in our next meeting.

  3. Yes,songs like this one are a significant authentic resource for task-based approaches. Some interesting interdisciplinary tasks could be done alongside the History and Human Rights syllabuses.

  4. I do agree!!A"boring" topic (for students)may be turned into something interesting by listening to music or watching a video.

  5. Students are fond of music and songs. So I think they will like this and if it´s something they like it will attract their attention and they will become interested in learning about the things that appear in the songs. This will not happen with all the students, but with most of them. (There are some that are not interested in anything, especially coming from school) If they listen to something about history or anything in a song they will remember it more easily than if they read it in a book.
Congratulations to the teachers who made these videos!
